Are you interestred in Functional Programming (FP)?
Maybe you are using Haskell already.
Or you are a Java developer and made your first functional steps with Scala and now you feel like learning more real FP languages and heared that Haskell is the best one. Eye-wink

This is your chance...

  • To meet other Haskell'er
  • To hear good talks about Haskell and Functional Programming
  • To be guest of a release party of CoHatoE (Contributing Haskell to Eclipse)
  • To visit Leipzig, Germany
  • To have a functional breakfast

Then come to the Second Haskell in Leipzig (HaL2) meeting on Tuesday, July 10, 2007.

Here is an short summary of the planned schedule:

  • 17:30 Johan Jeuring (Univ. Utrecht): Generic Programming in Haskell (Johan ist the organizer of this year' s ICFP-Contests)
  • 18:30 Wolfgang Jeltsch (TU Cottbus): Grapefruit -- A declarative GUI-Library, which supports e.g. dynamic User Interfaces and avoids inefficiencies made by other similar libraries
  • 19:30 Henning Thielemann (Uni-Halle): Calculation of Sound, Compositions of pieces of music, Controlling of a synthesizer, MIDI, CSound, SuperCollider with Haskell and Haskore
  • 20:30 Leif Frenzel (Karlsruhe): Cohatoe (Contributing Haskell to Eclipse) Release Party for the framework, what was designed as a successor of Eclipse/FP and after a public discussion on the last Haskell in Leipzig (HaL1) meeting; CoHaToE support to implement Eclipse-Extensions with Haskell

If you have question or want to sign up, send a mail to haskell (at) iba-cg (dot) de.
